TO ASSIST MEETING PLANNERS

Professional Detail Associates Enhance On-Site Meeting Services

LAS VEGAS – Efficient, timesaving PDAs help people stay connected and organized. The “live” PDAs at Mandalay Bay offer that and more. Professional Detail Associates provide convention organizers with an easy way to receive immediate, personalized assistance and serve as an on-site extension for the meeting planner.
Acting as a Meeting Concierge, PDAs serve as a hospitality liaison between meeting professionals and all Mandalay Bay operating departments. Their commitment to ensuring seamless organization and service throughout all banquet and meeting areas results in smooth-running events and happy clients.
“The success of any event is in the details,” said Martie Sparks, vice president of Catering & Convention Services. “That’s why we created the appropriately named position, Professional Detail Associate. They are here to ensure our clients receive superior customer service from start to finish.”
The Mandalay Bay PDAs are on-site in the convention center prior to, during and following events as a visible and accessible presence. They anticipate and fulfill client requests and troubleshoot to resolve any unforeseen issues. PDAs also facilitate any last-minute changes with the resort’s operational departments and communicate with the convention services manager and sales manager.
David T. Phillips, national operations manager for Marshall Robinson & Associates, Inc., was recently at Mandalay Bay for the IBM IOD Conference. “This is one of the most novel ideas for customer service and functionality I have seen. More importantly, the staff in place with this program was on top of their game in handling any issues that arose,” said Phillips.
