Ceremony Questions and Answers
Q: What time do we have to arrive at the chapel?
A: We ask that the bride be here forty minutes prior to the ceremony. In addition, we ask that the groom is here thirty minutes prior to the ceremony. Guest are seated fifteen minutes prior to wedding time.
Q: Will I get to meet the minister prior to the ceremony?
A: Yes the minister will visit with the bride and groom on the day of the ceremony in the separate rooms.
Q: When will flowers be distributed and instructions given?
A: The floral along with water will be waiting in the dressing room prior to the couple arriving. The servicing coordinator will give instructions to the bride, groom and wedding party prior to sending everyone down the aisle.
Q: How long is the ceremony?
A: The ceremony is anywhere from 10-15 minutes in length.
Q: Can we write our own vows or bring a passage or prayer?
A: Bringing personal vows and/ or a prayer or passage is a wonderful way to customize your ceremony. Please make sure that you send a copy to your coordinator to ensure a back up copy and a copy for the Minister to review and approve.
Q: What happens after the ceremony?
A: If you purchase a wedding plan that includes photos with immediate family and wedding party, the guest will be asked to exit the chapel while the photos are being taken. If you do not have immediate family and wedding party photos the couple will be taken to do their photos and everyone will exit the chapel.
Q: Can we provide our own music with a CD?
A: THEwedding chapel does allow for CD is to be brought to take the place of seating music and/or ceremony music. Please make sure that all songs are in order and that CD is labeled.
Q: Can we leave belongings in the dressing rooms during the ceremony?
A: Brides and grooms are allowed in the dressing rooms forty/thirty minutes prior to the ceremony. All belongings should be out of the dressing room and either placed in chapel or with a guest to ensure no belongings are misplaced. This must be done prior to the ceremony starting. If anything is left in the rooms it will be taken up front by the servicing coordinator and the chapel will not be held reliable for it.
Q: Can we begin the ceremony with out a marriage license?
A: A marriage license must be present at the chapel in order to begin any ceremony. Should the marriage license be forgotten the wedding will not begin until after it is.
Photography/Video Questions and Answers
Q: Can we bring our own photographer and videographer?
A: THEwedding chapel does not allow any video or photography in the chapel. Should you hire an outside vendor for your video or photos they will be asked to retire their equipment while they are in the chapel. (Also stated on the contract)
Q: When will I be able to view my photos?
A: You will schedule your photo appointment to view your images on the day of the wedding. Your Photographer will schedule an appointment with you typically following the day of your ceremony or any other day you are available.
Q: When can I purchase additional photos, prints or a CD containing all of my images? What is the cost?
A: You will be given the opportunity to purchase and upgrade to a CD containing all images the day of your sales appointment. THEwedding chapel does not have access to any of the prices for these items.
Q: Can I take photography outside?
A: Photography outdoors and on the grounds of Mandalay Bay can be added to any of the wedding plans by purchasing a minimum of a one-hour upgrade. This will allow the photographer and couple the necessary time to explore creativity and options.
(Up to four hours of photo and video can be added to your wedding plan.)
Q: Can I split my photography time?
A: You cannot split your photography time. If you purchase an hour or more the time has to be consecutive.
Q: Can I order an extra Video of my ceremony?
A: Yes, you can purchase an extra copy of your DVD for $75.00.
Q: Can I order additional video time?
A: Yes, you can purchase two and four hour packages through your coordinator.
Floral questions and Answers
Q: Can I bring my own floral arrangements to the chapel?
A: THEwedding chapel does not allow any outside vendors therefore all floral orders will be provided by the Mandalay Bay floral department.(As stated on the contract)
Q: Am I limited to order floral from what is on the website?
A: Mandalay Bay floral would be happy to assist you in recreating any bouquet you wish to have for your wedding. Weather it is something you find in a magazine or on the internet your coordinator will be your primary source and assure that your vision is met by our florist.
Q: Can I upgrade my bouquet?
A: Yes, you can. All bouquets are priced based on per stems. Any additional flowers can be priced by your coordinator.
Q: Can we purchase additional boutonnières, corsages and bouquets?
A: All wedding plans will come with worksheets detailing what comes with the wedding plan. Each worksheets comes with prices for additional floral.
Q: What is the floral agreement and what is its purpose?
A: The floral agreement is part of the contract and should be turned in at the time of securing your booking. The floral agreement is signed to ensure that all floral orders are submitted thirty days prior to the ceremony.
Q: Can I order additional floral arrangements and center pieces?
A: Yes you can! The floral arrangements can be ordered by one of our décor specialists or you can go directly through the floral Department at 702-632-6127.
Décor Questions and Answers
Q: Can I obtain décor through the chapel for my reception or ceremony?
A: Yes, THE wedding chapel is a full service venue and you can obtain information on décor, entertainment and wedding favors from your wedding coordinator.
Q: Does the wedding chapel provide photos of décor and options?
A: Once you have discussed your potential colors and options with your wedding planner they will send you a proposal with images of what your options will look like.
Q: Can I order a DJ or entertainment?
A: The wedding chapel has a list of preferred vendors and they can accommodate you with all of your entertainment needs.
Q: If we purchase extra wedding floral arrangements can we keep them?
A: If a couple purchases extra floral arrangements they can keep them as long as they also purchase the vase. Additional floral arrangements are priced according to floral used and labor and therefore couples can keep floral however all vases must be returned to MB Floral unless purchased by couple.
Q: Does the wedding chapel provide me with décor for the ceremony?
A: Yes, THE wedding chapel is happy to assist you in decorating your chapel for the BIG day. We offer aisle decors for $250 and can also create custom arrangements and aisle treatments to suit your needs.
Q: Does the wedding chapel allow candles during the ceremony for décor?
A: Yes, THE wedding chapel allows floating votive candles which are provided in the aisle treatment.
Q: Does the wedding chapel provide options for custom linens, chairs and reception ?
A: Yes, THE wedding chapel provides a wide range of options for reception décor from linens, to napkins, chairs and up lighting. Ask your dedicated wedding planner how we can provide you with your décor needs.
Room Questions
Q: Is there any discounts offered for rooms?
A: THE wedding chapel is happy to share that any couples blocking 10 or more rooms will be able to extend a 20% discount to all of their wedding guests per night. Please contact Group Reservation for more information at 877-632-9001 or 702-632-9001.
Q: How can we block rooms and what does blocking rooms do?
A: You can block rooms by contacting our Group services department, number listed above. You can block rooms in increments of ten or more, and they are held for you and your guests at a fixed rate which will not fluctuate based on occupancy.
Q: What is the honeymoon suite and where can I see it?
A: The honeymoons suite can be found on the Mandalay Bay website under the name 600 SS. You can take a virtual room tour and view all of the amenities.
Q: Can we book more than one room through our package?
A: Unfortunately, we can only book the room that is included in your wedding plan. With your wedding plan you can book additional nights with the special rate. You will give your requested check in and check out dates to your wedding coordinator and she will book it for you.
Q: If we would like a room other than the Honey moon Suite, can we upgrade?
A: Yes, depending on availability your coordinator can upgrade your room to a different room of your choice. However, upgrade fees will be applied depending on the room type.
Wedding Plan Questions
Q: Can we make substitutions or change wedding plans?
A: Unfortunately, wedding plans cannot be altered or changed, although there can be upgrades made to, music, photo, and video and floral there cannot be any substitutions or changed made to an actual wedding plan.
Q: Do the wedding plans determine the chapel the ceremony will take place in?
A: No, the chapel the ceremony will take place is determined by the amount of guest and also the time requested. (Ceremonies with fewer than fifty guests will take place in the Silver and Gold chapel and weddings with over fifty guests will take place in the Platinum chapel for an additional fee of $250.00.)
Q: When can I book a wedding plan?
A: You can book a ceremony any where from 18 months out to twenty-four hours prior to the ceremony. (Please be advised that if booking thirty days or less in advance floral options may be limited.)
Q: When is the deposit and balance due?
A: The $250.00 deposit is collected at the time of booking. The remaining balance along with any upgrades will be charged thirty days prior to your ceremony. (Any additional payments can be applied prior to the thirty-day mark by filling out a credit card authorization form.)
Q: When do we obtain the marriage license?
A: Your coordinator will arrange a complimentary ride to and from the courthouse. This ride is usually booked at the thirty-day point while confirming all ceremony details. Please bring $60 dollars cash and photo identification.
Q: When are all of my worksheets due?
A: All of the worksheets are due thirty days prior to the ceremony. At this time, your coordinator will contact you to confirm all of the details of your wedding. You will be emailed the final wedding event form and balance which will need to be returned with a signature and credit card form for the balance.
Q: What happens if the worksheets are sent prior to the thirty day cut off?
A: Should worksheets be sent anytime prior to the thirty-day deadline the couple will be contacted by coordinator and all worksheets will be filed until the thirty-day date.
Miscellaneous Questions
Q: Where can I get my dress steamed and rent tuxedoes?
A: THE wedding chapel refers all couples to Creative Formalwear; they can be reached at 702-586-2281 or www.creativeformalwear.com.
Q: Can I ship my dress to THE wedding chapel?
A: You cannot ship your dress to THE wedding chapel but you can however ship your dress to the Mandalay Bay Business Center. You will address it to Mandalay Bay ATTN: Business Center. Due to liability reasons, THE wedding chapel cannot store any shipped items for the bride and groom.
Q: Where can I order a cake?
A: You can order a cake through room service. Room Service can be reached 702-632-7464.
Q: Is there a salon to get my hair and make up done?
A: Mandalay Bay is the home to one of the most critically acclaimed hair salons on the strip. Robert Cromeans salon is located at beach level next to Spa Mandalay. You can reach them to make a reservation at 702-632-6031. (Please be advised a credit card will be needed at the time of booking to hold appointment.)
Q: Can you give me a list of lounges or places to have a cocktail?
A: Mandalay Bay has a variable wealth of posh lounges to visit after the ceremony of during your stay. You can visit; J pop lounge and Sushi Bar, Eye Candy ultra lounge, The Mix, Rum Jungle. Red square, Fleur de Lys lounge and THElounge.
Q: Are there any jewelry stores?
A: There are two jewelry stores on property; Bejeweled and Les Paradis.

Q: Can we have a reception at Mandalay Bay?
A: Yes, depending on the level of formality and the amount of guest you can choose to go through the wedding chapel for all-inclusive options, catering, group dining.
Q: What are the prices for catering and how can we reach them?
A: The prices for catering are based on menus and details that can only be priced by catering. To reach the wedding catering Manager (Cheri Gold) please calls 702-632-7470.
Q: Can we have a reception at a restaurant or at the buffet?
A: You can have your reception at a restaurant or at the buffet. You will contact group-dining reservations or the restaurant directly and they will provide you with menu and pricing. You can contact group dining at 702-632-7447. To contact the restaurant you can call the hotel and anyone will be able to connect you to the restaurant.
