Important Information

Road Closures

  • Las Vegas Boulevard (The Strip) is subject to closure to vehicular traffic by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, south of Sahara and north of Sunset Avenues from approximately 6:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m.

Drinking on The Strip

  • Between December 31, 6:00 p.m. – January 1, 6:00 a.m. glass containers are banned while on Las Vegas Boulevard.
  • Alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages in glass containers will not be for sale at our retail shops from December 31, 6:00 a.m. – January 1, 6:00 a.m. Please purchase champagne, wine and other beverages beforehand or order from room service during these hours.

Security Information

  • The Front Desk must be made aware of all guests staying in your room or suite to have access to the property.
  • Between 11:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. majority of the MGM Resorts properties will require a room key to access the property.
  • Have your room key with you at all times.
  • Large bags, backpacks, coolers or strollers on Las Vegas Boulevard are not permitted between December 31, 6:00 p.m. – January 1, 6:00 a.m.
  • Bags cannot be larger than 12” x 6” x12” (exclusive of handles).

Parking and Transportation

  • Valet and the Self-Park Garages are expected to be full by 5:00 p.m.
  • Depart from the Valet or Self-Park Garages through Las Vegas Boulevard prior to the closure.
  • Allow extra time for traffic.
  • The tram stops at ARIA/Monte Carlo, Crystals and Bellagio will be closed between the hours of 11:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.
  • The Las Vegas Monorail will be the only public transportation operating on the strip.
  • Uber and other rideshare services will be able to drop off registered hotel guests and those with venue reservations.
  • Rideshares WILL NOT have any pick up services during The Strip closure starting at 6:00 p.m.
